Sunday/Ravivar/Surya Mantra

Hi,

It has been many days since new posts have come to the blog and write but some times the situation is such that one cannot even spare time for what he/she loves the most.

Today lets start with some posting of spirituality and would like to post different mantras / chalisas / kathas relating to day and god.

Lets start with Sunday / Ravivar (Surya) mantra.

In Hindu religious literature, Surya is notably mentioned as the visible form of God that one can see every day.
Furthermore, Shaivites and Vaishnavas often regard Surya as an aspect of Shiva and Vishnu, respectively. For example, the sun is called Surya Narayana by Vaishnavas. In Shaivite theology, Surya is said to be one of eight forms of Shiva, named the Astamurti.
Have a nice Day!!!

Happy Diwali

Hi folks!! Its Diwali Time. The time of enjoyment and bonding, in which people celebrate with busting crackers and distributing sweets. The festive season of Hindu calendar is coming to an end with Diwali or Deepavali which starts from Ganesh Chturthi.

This festival is celebrated in Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism, and adherents of these religions celebrate Diwali as the Festival of Lights as they light diyas—cotton string wicks inserted in small clay pots filled with oil—to signify victory of good over the evil within an individual.

Deepa means light and Avali, meaning a row. It means a row of lights and indeed illumination forms its main attraction.

In Hinduism, across many parts of India and Nepal, it is the homecoming of Rama after a 14-year exile in the forest and his victory over Ravana. In the legend, the people of Ayodhya (the capital of his kingdom) welcomed Rama by lighting rows (avali) of lamps (dĭpa), thus its name: dīpāwali.
In Jainism, Diwali marks the attainment of nirvana by Mahavira on 15 October, 527 BC.

As per Hindu calendar, the five day festival of Diwali is centered on the new moon day that ends the month of Ashwin and begins the month of Kartika, beginning on the 13th day of the dark half of Ashwin (Ashwin 28th) and ending on the 2nd day of the bright half of Kartika (Kartika 2nd). The main day of celebration varies regionally.

Diwali has been significant in Sikhism since the illumination of the town of Amritsar commemorating the return of Guru Har Gobind Ji (1595-1644), the sixth Guru of Sikhism, who was imprisoned along with 52 other Hindu kings at Fort Gwalior by Emperor Jahangir.

The festival is also celebrated by Buddhists in Nepal, a majority-Hindu country.

Navrathris / Durga Puja / Vijayadashami / Dussehra

Let us now come down to the serious contents for which this blog was created on the auspicious day of Ashtami (the eighth day of Navrathris / Durga Puja which is being celebrated in India).
During this period many people keep fast for nine days and on the tenth day Vijayadashami / Dussehra is celebrated.
Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra is celebrated across India on the tenth day of the bright half of the Hindu month of Ashwayuja or Ashwina, and is the end of the 10-day annual festival of Dasara or Navrathri / Durga Puja. The celebration vary vastly by region; but the theme is the victory of the forces of Good over Evil. It is also considered to be an auspicious day to begin new things in life.
In Northern India, the festival marks victory of Shri Rama, avtara of Vishnu and prince of Ayodhya, over Ravana, the king of Lanka who wrongfully abducted Sita Mata, Shri Rama’s wife. During this festival huge melas or fetes are organised. Ramlila is organized with much public enthusiasm all over northern India during this period. The effigies of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhkaran are burnt , signifying the victory of good over evil, and bringing the festivities to a close.

Introduction

Hi friends,

I sometime wonder sitting alone that this life has so much in it to teach us. Starting from the moment we come in this world, though we don't remember anything, till the time we bid good bye to this wonderful world.

With the intention to understand the deepest truths in this life (be it relation, academic, social, health {name any}) it is very importnat for a person to have a quality education for which a sound mind is a must.

What I have learned from this life is "One who takes anything from anywhere should return it back". A single brick cannot make a home. It is the blend of all construction materail that is required to build a solid home.

I request the educated faternity to spare some time by way of contibution of articles and other related study material for all (be it a child of a pre-nursery , their parents or for a person doing higher studies), who one day will contribute and taker this world forward.

Bye
